Re: Lookin' For a Different Shakedown? |
For a Shakedown that's even more slowed down, check out 7-14 and 7-5/81, the slowest, funkiest versions i have ever heard.

Forgot about the 7/14, i've had that show for a long time and haven't listened to it in years. Got it going right now and you are indeed correct. Nice mellow pace with just the right amount of funk. Forgot how good this show was, and also one of those crispy AUD's I love so much. Thanks for the reminder!

7/14/81 (McNichols Sports Arena) is a fine example of 81 Dead and a very nice example of how good an AUD can be. Give it a listen if you've got some time.

***I must add this after listening to a bit more of this source: while the music is crisp and well defined, there are a few buttholes close to the mics who are having discussions that can get somewhat distracting during the quieter tunes (patricularly To Lay Me Down). Sorry, but I feel it my duty to warn you.
